In the library section you will find:
- Images
- Files
- Learning Pages
- Forms
Images
The image library is an overview of all images that have ever been uploaded to the platform, mainly for use inside the learning pages. When adding images to a component in a learning page you also tag them, so you could use these tags if you’re looking for a certain image. Just clicking in the tag-bar at the top gives a list of all possible tags. Uploading images is always done through the learning pages, so you don’t have to go through the library to do this.
Files
This is where we store all files & documents that are made available to onboardees & key contacts, either through a link in the mails they receive or inside the learning pages. Most documents you upload in the files library are PDF files, but it is also possible to add other file formats like Excel sheets, Word files, or Powerpoint presentations.
*ADD PIC*
To upload a file, you simply click on the red upload button and fill in the required fields. You need to tag a file, so you can easily find it later, give the file a name, and if you want you can also add a description, although that isn’t required. Please make sure you check this box at the bottom to make sure your file is public and can be found by others later.
Learning Pages
This library is an alphabetical overview of all learning pages ever created on the platform. It contains all the pages, also the ones that haven’t been assigned to a module and aren’t being shown in the front end. On the left, we have the list, and on the right-hand side, we have a preview of the page we’ve selected.
Next to each page we have 3 buttons:
- Edit
This action immediately takes you inside the learning page to the editor.
Keep in mind that if you start making changes to an existing page, these changes are visible on that page inside the learning page module too. Hitting the Save button saves them, but doesn’t implement the changes in the front end yet.
The page will then also receive a ‘draft’ button in the library list. It is only after you hit publish, that the changes are visible in the front end as well and the draft button in the page overview disappears.
- Duplicate
The duplicate icon, is represented with a +. This action is especially useful if you want to create a new learning page that is based on the structure or template of an existing one.
Hitting the
‘Duplicate’ icon opens a window where you
can give this page a different title or cover image before hitting the ‘Duplicate’ button at
the bottom. Giving the page a slightly or entirely
different title is advisable because it makes it
easier to distinguish between pages in the library, but it is not required. After you hit the duplicate button, you can start editing the
content. Because you’ve duplicated, the changes will only be implemented on this page,
and not on the original page you started from.
- Translate Mode
The third and final action we can take here is to enter the translate mode, and we do this through the little globe icon. This takes you inside the learning page, into the translator mode where you can add your translations of the content. This mode can also be accessed from inside a learning page.
Forms
Please keep in mind: : If your company does not make use of forms yet, you might not be able to see this feature in the backend. Please reach out to your CS-manager if this is the case, but you would like to make use of this feature.
A form can be used to gather different types of information from your onboardees with the help of open-field questions, multiple-choice questions, surveys, or even an upload field.
The forms library functions more or less in the same way as the learning page library. You have an alphabetical list at the left and instead of the preview mode you get the description of the form (if it was provided) at the right. You can create a new form out of the library, edit an existing form by clicking on the pencil icon or duplicate it.
