Dear User, a lot of changes have been made in Tasks, from the UI to the functionalities. Our latest improvement in Task Management is the introduction of Visibility date for Boardee Tasks.
Why using visibility date for onboarding/offboarding tasks?
Currently, all tasks are shown to boardees from the moment they are created, this can make the list of tasks in the Onboarding app overwhelming for new joiners and, sometimes tasks cannot be undone until a certain time.
Our goal is to reduce that overwhelm by showing tasks in a more timely and relevant way, just like we do with other types of content.
What is the setting '' Visibility for Boardees'' within tasks?
This new setting is available only for boardees, onboardees and offboardees.
When creating a task for a boardee, you can set the number of days this specific task will be visible in the Onboarding app., before the deadline.
In the task details the visible to boardee date will appear:
When creating a new boardee task, the "DAYS BEFORE THE DEADLINE" will be automatically prefilled with 5 days (our general recommendation).
Admin Users can amend this value according to their needs. The minimum value for this field is 0 - it means the task gets added to the list of tasks to complete on the day it's due.
Please note this new field is mandatory for all new created tasks
What will happen to existing tasks?
The number of days for existing tasks will be empty – to ensure we don't change the process for existing tasks and boardees.
If a user wants to edit an existing task (any change), they need to fill in the number of days the task will be visible for onboardees.

What will happen to tasks for Key contacts and users?
Key contacts and Users tasks do not have the Visibility setting. While some tasks might become relevant only in the later moment, it's important to have a full overview of what needs to be done.
